My book released on May 15th…

Did it really happen?

Yes it did, but I have been so busy with the day to day activities of life that it doesn’t seem like it really happened.

First of all, thank you for supporting me by reading my blogs and my book, Hope for an Outstanding Outcome, My Journey to Healing from Cancer. Also, thank you for spreading the word about it to those in your friend groups that are walking through cancer themselves or those that are on a journey with a loved one that has been diagnosed with cancer.

I wrote my book, Hope, as a response to fellow travelers that were moved to hope for their own outstanding outcome upon hearing my story of healing from pancreatic cancer. While writing about my walk down the pathway to healing, I disclosed my range of emotions from doubt to hope, from anger to joy and the full gamut of emotions that anyone encounters when they face a trial like this. I shared how I eventually surrendered to the process, put my trust in God and faced my foe with hope and belief for an outstanding outcome. And because of God’s great love, mercy kindness and healing, I am here today to talk about it. :-)

In my book I expanded my story by including reflections from my caregiving husband, Jim, in each chapter in a section we named, Jim’s Thoughts. We determined that this would help caregivers with their journey through cancer with a loved one. Next, my editor recommended that we could enrich the reader’s experience further by including a Take Aways section in each chapter to help the reader apply learnings to their own story. Having been a self-help book reader for many years this idea resonated with me and I was immediately onboard.

Thanks again for checking in with me and reading my writings. It means a lot to me, as my desire continues to be to extend hope to those that cross my path.

Peace,

Rita
PS. Remember, your mustard seed of faith can move mountains and your future is not written yet.
