Peace in the battle

Sometimes it is difficult to stay in peace when the world seems to rage around us. Whether it be a life event that is touching our lives or the life of a loved one, we may feel we are caught up in a whirlwind that spins us around, we lose our footing and don’t know where to turn next. The ground appears to be shaking all that we know and believe to be true.

That is when I know that I need to separate myself and go to the quiet place as Jesus demonstrated so many times through his actions while on this earth and find my peace again in the solace of God’s presence. Seeking, asking and knocking until the door is opened as it talks about in Matthew 7.

God knows our pain and struggles. He is waiting for us to turn to Him, trust in Him and wait for His answer. He isn’t sleeping. He hasn’t forgotten us. He is working on our behalf. He desires our fellowship. He longs for us to turn to Him as a son or daughter through Christ’s redemptive sacrifice on the cross.

Turn to Him wherever you are. Even if you feel you are not worthy, you are worthy through Christ. He loves you. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Return to Him. He is waiting.

Love and peace in His service,

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
