Happy Saturday!  I hope I haven’t lost you due to my length of absence.  What have I been working on you ask?  I am in the beginning stages of starting a non-profit called Survival PAC that I have been pondering for about the last year and a half.   The non-profit’s mission is to provide newly diagnosed pancreas cancer patients with a Survival PAC of inspirational items and helpful resources with the goal of helping that patient focus on the opportunity for a successful outcome, instead of an overwhelming diagnosis.  It seems like the deadly perception of this affliction can cause people to not have a good outcome.  I say that because when we think the odds of success are low, some of us may tend to give up or lose faith in God’s goodness.  However, there have been advancements in the field of medicine that show there is more hope.  Also, mixed with the belief that God is absolutely good and that He is the healer of all our diseases it can open our eyes and belief for the possibility of complete healing.  That briefly sums up my own personal outstanding outcome after being diagnosed with pancreas cancer.

I still need to obtain funding for this.  However, I have started creating my Internet presence by developing a website page that ties to my current blog.  I have also purchased my domain, www.survivalpac.org, which ties to my donation page and I have created a GiveSendGo - Survival PAC account as an additional way to obtain donations and hear that people are praying 😊, plus I have my Survival PAC | Facebook page.

My husband, Jim and I have personally funded, created, and shipped many care packages for new pancreas cancer patients. Soon after starting this endeavor, we realized that in order to continue and extend our reach, we needed more help and decided to give others the opportunity to be a part of this important volunteer mission.

I have also reached out to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center while we were there last to see if we could work with them to deliver these Survival PACs.  Now that I have more of the foundation built out, I will approach them again soon.

I pray that God blesses all of you with His presence, peace, health and love.
