You’re somewhere in the future

Today, my blog is written to celebrate the anniversary of my 3rd year free from pancreas cancer.  My surgery was October 23, 2018.  While I celebrate my healing, I also acknowledge and my heart breaks for many that are on a similar journey.  I wish I knew then, what I know now.  However, I have set my heart on sharing what I have learned about God to help others have a outstanding outcome in their battles.

…“I’m somewhere in the future

and I look much better than

I do right now!”…

While I was walking through to my healing, it seemed like I would never get to this place of this photo, but I did. I am healed and whole, looking and feeling much better than I did during any of the therapies or the surgery.

God sees us walking in the future in a state of restored health.  I have heard prophet, Kim Clement sing a number of times: “I’m somewhere in the future and I look much better than I do right now!”  God desires that we grab hold of the faith to believe for that.  He is absolutely good! He grants us the grace to accept eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, along with the faith to believe for that and His many other promises.  It is our job to believe His truths and grasp that faith.

One truth that is central to my story is that God is our healer.  He wants His children to prosper in all things.  It is our job to grab hold of that.  We all go through the winds of change, and it may feel very harsh and unfair at times.  Yesterday, I heard someone describing a scene in the garden during this current change of seasons.  A violent wind was blowing through the garden and she watched a butterfly that was clinging to a flower while they were both being whipped around really violently and yet, the butterfly never let go.  What she heard in her Spirit from God was “The adversity that this butterfly faced when it came out of the cocoon prepared it for those winds of change.”  Further she said, “I hear Him saying, ‘Don’t resist the adversity.  Don’t resist the storm.  I have called you to stand in it.  To stand firm.  And to hold your ground and stand your ground, because you will be the catalyst that creates that change.  I will cause you to be that catalyst that creates that change and that changes the direction of that storm.  So stand firm and stand your ground and don’t resist the adversity.”  Another person added, “You step into the adversity and therefore, you overpower your adversary.”

Here is a version of the song I mentioned.  I am not sure who the rapper is, but nicely done.

Psalm 103: 1-5 NKJV
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
